Jonathan A. Goldstein, Esq. is a native of Los Angeles, California.  He is devoted to providing legal services and representation to clients in civil litigation, administrative matters, mediation, arbitration, legal compliance training, and day-to-day legal advice and counsel to clients in the Greater Los Angeles area, the nine cities of the Coachella Valley, and throughout the California High Desert communities.

Mr. Goldstein’s firm, JAG Law, represents private and public sector management clients in labor & employment disputes while dedicating a significant portion of his practice to public service and the pro bono representation of individuals who are indigent, wrongfully accused, and/or from historically underrepresented communities. 

For the past eleven years, he has served the public in the role of a Judge Pro Tempore in nine different county Superior Courts around the State. Over the past seven years, Mr. Goldstein has served as a Special Master appointed by the State Bar of California and volunteering to serve in every county in the state. Mr. Goldstein’s has additionally served the public in the role of an Arbitrator that presides over attorney-client fee dispute cases on behalf of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Santa Monica Bar Association.  

Mr. Goldstein is often requested to become involved in bitter disputes with an eye to their prompt resolution, avoiding, if possible, substantial legal fees and costs required for extended litigation and trial. His reputation, character, and integrity are well known among the bar associations and broader legal community around Southern California, which has led to numerous early resolutions and settlements of highly contentious cases.

Selected as a player  on the JHU Football Team and volunteered as an after-school tutor for underprivileged elementary school students through the team with The Johns Hopkins Tutorial Project. Co-Founded the Johns Hopkins Undergraduate Law Review (JHULR) and served as Editor-in-Chief. Memberships included: Delta Phi Fraternity, Xi Chapter (one of the nation’s oldest fraternal organizations founded in 1827) and JHU Pre-Law Society (Executive Board Member), and Pi Sigma Alpha (National Political Science Honor Society.

Mr. Goldstein has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching a Seminar in Sexual Harassment Law at the Western State University School of Law.  Also, he has served as an Instructor teaching a survey course to college students in Business Law at Rio Hondo Community College.  

In addition, Mr. Goldstein conducts annual legal compliance training seminars to a variety of organizations and associations, including but not limited to, the California Professionals in Human Resources Association, the California Public Employees Labor Relations Association, the Employment Development Division, the California Metal Finishers Association, the Santa Fe Springs Chambers of Commerce, the Bell Garden Chambers of Commerce, the Norwalk Chambers of Commerce, the Carson Chambers of Commerce, and the Carson African American Chambers of Commerce.
